This task is carried out by means of participation in the working groups created within the European Commission and the Parliament, the Economic and Social Committee, and the Committee of the Regions; the presentation of common positions to steer the regulation and the decision-making process; the establishment and the maintenance of relationships with the Institutions and professional associations.
Acting as a link for the exchange of information between the Institutions and the members : by the dissemination of news and circulars concerning the Institution's activity; continuous updating on the building sector from the Member States.
Promoting and improving the image of the crafts organisations and the small and medium-sized enterprises working in construction in Europe.

3) Förderung und Vertretung der Interessen des Baugewerbes innerhalb der europäischen Institutionen. Diese Aufgabe wird wahrgenommen über die Teilnahme an Arbeitsgruppen, die innerhalb der Europäischen Kommission, dem Europäischen Parlament, dem Wirtschafts- und Sozialausschuss und dem Ausschuß der Regionen gebildet werden; Vorlage gemeinsamer Stellungnahmen zwecks Steuerung des Regelungs- und Entscheidungsprozesses; Schaffung und Unterhalt von Verbindungen zu den Institutionen und Berufsverbänden.
Verbindungsglied im Informationsaustausch zwischen den Institutionen und den Mitgliedern; Verbreitung von Informationen und Rundbriefen über die Aktivitäten der Institutionen; ständiges auf den neuesten Standbringen von Daten des Baubereichs der Mitgliedstaaten.

2) The institutions of EBC are : the General Assembly, which meets once a year, the Administration Council, which meets every three months and Working Committees : Economic, Technical and Social Affairs.

3) Die Organe des EBC sind : die Generalversammlung, die einmal jährlich zusammentritt, der Verwaltungsrat, der alle drei Monate tagt und die Arbeitsausschüsse : Wirtschaft, Technik, Soziales.

2) EBC is represented in the Standing Committee for Construction of the CPD, as well as in the Working Groups EMAT; Bonding System; Education, Training and Image; Sustainable Construction.
EBC is organising annually, on occasion of its Annual Assembly a seminar under themes of interest for its members.
