2) The primary function of the Federation is to ensure the real involvement of the property industry in the European legislative process, through its Brussels Secretariat and through the coordinated participation of its member associations and their members at all levels of EU decision making, in Brussels and in the Member States.

Consumer protection : Unfair contract terms and protection of transactions concerning immovable property purchased by consumers.
Taxation : VAT and other indirect taxes relevant to the property sector; energy taxation.

3) Umwelt : Geräuschpolitik, öffentliche und private Bewertung des Umweltimpakts, Bewertung der Auswirkungen auf nationale Pläne, Umwelthaftung, Drinkwasser, Bau- und Abbruchschutt.
Energie : Liberalisierung des Energiemarktes, Forschungsprojekte bezüglich Energieeinsparung in Gebäuden, Verbunderzeugung, Fernheizung.
Verbraucherschutz : Unfaire Vertragsklauseln und Schutz der Transaktionen des Erwerbs von Immobilien durch die Verbraucher.
Besteuerung : MWSt und indirekte Steuern, die den Immobiliensektor betreffen, Energiesteuern.
