2) The purpose and principal objective of EURALARM is to represent on an international level the interests of European manufacturers and installers of fire and intruder alarm systems and to represent them vis-à-vis international organisations especially with respect to economic and technical policy issues and this through activities such as :
Promoting an exchange of information.
To elaborate Directives, standards and recommendations in co-operation with other national and international oranisations;
Endeavouring to eliminate technical trade barriers.
Co-operation in the drafting of testing and approval regulations.
Supporting independent research and testing organisations.
Promoting technological and organisational development for the improvement of systems reliability.
Promotion and market studies.
Collaborating with other fire protection trade associations in the field of fire and intruder alarm systems.

3) EURALARM bezweckt hauptsäschlich auf internationaler Ebene die Wahrung der Interessen der europäischen Hersteller und Installateure von Erzeugnissen und Anlagen zur Meldung von Brand, Einbruch und Überfall sowie ihre Vertretung gegenüber internationalen Organisationen, insbesondere auf den Gebieten der Wirtschaftspolitik und der Technik, durch Tätigkeiten wie :
Pflege des Informationsaustausches.
Die Unterstützung von nationalen und internationalen Organisationen bei der Erarbeitung von Richtlinien,Normen, und Empfehlungen.
Den Abbau von technischen Handelshemmnissen.
Die Mitwirkung beim Aufstellen von Prüf- und Zulassungsvorschriften.
Die Unterstützung neutraler Forschungs- und Prüfstellen.
Die Förderung der technischen und organisatorischen Entwicklung zur Verbesserung der Zuverlässigkeit von Anlagen.
Die Förderung und Studium der Märkte.
Die Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Verbänden auf dem Fachgebiet Alarmsysteme für Brand, Einbruch und Überfall.

2) EURALARM is composed of two sections of manufacturers: EURALARM Fire Section and EURALARM Intruder Section.
Each section has its own Executive Committee and is responsible for administering its own affairs.
Matters of common interest or matters beyond the scope of any one Section are dealt with by the EURALARM Board which consists of the President and Vice-President of the both Executive Committees of Fire and Intruder Sections.

3) Die Vereinigung setzt sich aus zwei Herstellergruppen zusammen : EURALARM Sektion Brand und EURALARM Sektion Einbruch.
Jede Sektion besitzt ihren eigenen Exekutiv-Ausschuß und ist für die Verwaltung der eigenen Angelegenheiten verantwortlich.
Fragen von gemeinsamem Interesse oder übergreifender Art werden vom Vorstand der EURALARM behandelt. Dieser besteht aus dem Präsidenten und den Vize-Präsidenten der beiden Exekutiv-Ausschüsse der Sektionen Brand und Einbruch.

2) As the representative of the European Fire and Security Industry EURALARM maintains close contacts and co-operates with different European Organisations :
European Commission : Contacts and discussions with the General Directorate ENTERPRISE in general, to ensure that the industry works within the framework and regulations of the EU and, in particular, with respect to European Directives and Mandates for Harmonised Standards.

3) Als Vertreter der Industrie für den Brand- und Einbruchschutz unterhält und pflept EURALARM enge Kontakte und Zusammenarbeit mit den verschiedenen europäischen Organsationen : Europäische Kommission : Kontakte und Diskussion mit der GD-Unternehmen ganz allgemein, um sicherzustellen, daß die Industrie im Rahmen und in Übereinstimmung mit den EU Bestimmungen arbeitet, insbesondere im Hinblick auf europäische Richtlinien und Mandate für harmonisierte Normen.

2) EURALARM members are National Associations of manufacturers and installers of products of fire and intruder alarm systems existing in European countries.
Individual firms of European countries engaged in the field of fire and security systems can also be members as long as no national association exist in their countries or existing associations are not EURALARM members.

3) Mitglieder von EURALARM sind die nationalen Verbände der Hersteller und Installateure von Alarmanlagen für den Brand- und Einbruchschutz der Länder Europas.
Individuelle europäische Firmen, die auf dem Gebiet der Alarmanlagen für Brand und Einbruch tätig sind, können auch Mitglied sein, und zwar so lange in ihren Ländern keine nationalen Verbände bestehen oder diese nicht bei EURALARM angeschlossen sind.
