2) The principal goal of GCI is to represent the interests of its member associations for all the matters affecting the commercial prosperity of the heating, ventilating and air conditioning contracting sector.
To that purpose, GCI shall :
- assure a permanent link between the national member associations,
- study the professional problems of common interest with which the national member associations are confrontedand submit to them the results of its studies in the form of recommendations,
- promote and safeguard the interests of GCI, its constituent associations and their members in relation to authorities, bodies or institutions, as well as towards other associations.

3) Das Hauptziel der GCI ist die Vertretung ihrer Mitgliedsverbände hinsichtlich aller Fragen, die die wirtschaftliche Situation der Heizungs-, Klima- und Lüftungsunternehmen beeinflussen.
Zu diesem Zweck soll der GCI :
- ein permanentes Bindeglied zwischen den nationalen Mitgliedsverbänden sein,
- die beruflichen Probleme im Sinne gemeinsamer Interessen analysieren, mit denen die nationalen Mitgliedsverbände konfrontiert werden und ihnen die Ergebnisse ihrer Studien in Form einer Empfehlung überreichen.
- die Interessen der GCI gegenüber Behörden, Dritten, Institutionen und anderen Verbänden vertreten und verteidigen.

2) The bodies of GCI are : the General Assembly, the Presidents' Council, the Board of Administration, the Committee of Secretaries General and one working group (qualification of construction enterprises).
The Presidency is held for two years.
